We are SYNformulas - the company behind the Kijimea brand. Since our foundation in 2011, we have been pursuing a clear vision: we want to harness the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life - for everyone.
We achieved a first major milestone on this path back in 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the best-researched bacterial strains in the world. Its efficacy and unique mechanism of action have been proven in numerous clinical studies and published in renowned journals such as The Lancet.
We are working with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the links between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases and mental disorders. In short, we are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.
Today, we are one of the fastest growing healthcare companies in the world. We reach our customers through a wide variety of channels: direct communication with doctors and pharmacists as well as print, TV and digital marketing. To further expand our rapidly growing business, we are looking for a Head of US (f/m/d) to support us in this mission. Our goal is clearly defined: By 2028, we want to make Kijimea the world's largest DTC probiotics brand, giving over 50 million people a better life every year.
